South America
This exhibition was built at the beginning of the 1980s and is currently undergoing a gradual transformation…
The American continent is represented by the Jaguarundi (Herpailurus yaguarondi) and the Geoffroy's cat (Oncifelis geoffroyi).
In addition to small felines, you can see other animal species here. This includes birds such as the Black vulture (Coragyps atratus), which is the smallest condor species. In its native land of America, it lives in large flocks consisting of several dozen birds. Similar to ravens in our country, they often fly into human dwellings and dumps to look for food.
The following species can be found here:
Conejo Del Palo (Chacoan Mara)
Dolichotis salinicola
Geoffroy's Cat
Leopardus geoffroyi
Jaguarundi
Herpailurus yagouaroundi
Red-legged Seriema
Cariama cristata
